Sun Got Dark Large Black Spot

NASA recently shared an x-ray photo of the sun, hoping they will spread some light on the mysteries of the star. During their ongoing research, a large black spot was discovered on the sun. Within the black spot, temperatures appear to be much cooler than the rest of the surface. Upon further investigation, it appears as though there is an interruption in the magnetic field and that particles within the region may be leaking out into space. NASA believes that the dark spot could be around for at least five years and could result in an amazing array of northern lights on Earth. As per experts, coronal holes are places where particles leave the sun’s surface at huge speed of up to 500 miles per hour (800 kilometers per hour). The coronal holes contain very little solar material, less temperatures, and therefore appears to be much darker. The coronal holes on the sun’s poles could be visible for next five or more years. But their shape can vary greatly depending on the prevailing conditions, said experts. It is assumed that high-speed winds of solar particles coming out of the sun’s dark holes can cause geomagnetic storms and auroras on Earth.
